All clubs, which are members of their FIFA affiliated national associations, are welcome to participate in the The Battle of Clontarf . The tournament begins with group play. Teams are divided into groups of four , where all teams are playing each other once. The group winners qualify for Quarter Finals, The winners of Quarter Finals qualify for Semi Finals and the winners of Semi Finals quality for The Final Battle.
The tournament is played under all applicable FIFA or FAI rules. All teams must be insured, both for games and leisure time. Arrival and chech in for all teams to St Annes Park ,no later than 9-15 am on 1st Sunday in August 2009. Kick-off for the preliminary-round games 1014 am.

Number of players per Squad
There is a limit of 18 players in each squad. However only five substitutes are allowed in each match.
Any and all disputes will be dealt with by the organising committee of Clontarf FC and their
decision is final.
Number of teams in the Battle of Clontarf.
It is our aim that all teams wishing to take part in the Battle of Clontarf should be able to do so. However, there will be a maximum of 16 teams this year only.
Therefore the teams paying their entry fees first will be given priority.
A club may enter a maximum of 2 teams .
Exception to this rule is organising club Clontarf FC.
Insurance.
All participants must carry their own insurance. The Battle of Clontarf does not carry any group insurance protecting participants in case of injury, illness, theft or damage to property.
